Meet our Pastors

The Call
“For this purpose I have raised you up, that My power would be manifest in you and My name proclaimed throughout the whole earth.” (Romans 9:17), were the words Lynndene Way heard the Lord speak in her spirit during a church service in 1978 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota.

Nothing is Impossible

The words she heard in her heart seemed impossible. She was just a simple farm wife and mother. The limitations in her life made this call seem unattainable. But she told the Lord that if this was Him speaking, she would obey. She also told Him that He would have to bring it to pass, because there was no natural way it could be accomplished. And that is exactly what happened. His Spirit led her step by step, that she might accomplish the purposes for which God had called her.

Eventually, the Lord opened doors of ministry. He also sent seasoned men and women of God to assist her in the training and preparation necessary to fulfill the call of God.

States that start with “M”
In 1979, the Way family moved from southern Minnesota to southern Missouri.  Within three months a Bible study started in their home.  Out of this Bible study, which was initially led by two Rhema graduates, Bill Moore and Roger King, a church was born.  Faith Fellowship was established in 1981 in Houston Missouri.  Lynndene served as the pastor of that church for several years. At the Lord’s direction, she turned the church over to her associate, Bill Villiapiano.  Today that church is still thriving to the glory of God.

After turning over the church, Lynndene spent the next 2 1/2 years in a traveling ministry. In 1986, the Way’s returned to their home state of Minnesota to establish House of Prayer in Alexandria.

House of Prayer and beyond
The word God spoke to her in 1978, to go into all the world proclaiming Jesus’ name and demonstrate His power, is being fulfilled today. Lynndene serves as the senior pastor of House of Prayer Church.  Lynndene has traveled throughout the U. S. and other nations planting churches, preaching and teaching in Bible Schools and churches.  She has also led groups on short term mission outreaches.

Several years ago, Lynndene’s ministry focus changed from international ministry to a more local ministry centered in the marketplace. She founded Chaplains Caring for Companies to minister in the largest unreached people group in the world, the “9 to 5 Window” – a ministry to the marketplace.  Wherever she goes she proclaims this fact:  Every believer is a minister, sent into their world (sphere of influence) to proclaim and demonstrate the ministry of Jesus Christ. (Go to for more information regarding corporate chaplaincy or to sign up for “Caring Connections”, her free e-newsletter.)

Lynndene and her husband Bob are a team in ministry.  Their desire is that the plan and purposes of God might be perfectly fulfilled in them and through them to the glory of God.
